Celebrating 50 years of the Southern Cross Rally

Hello again SCGAR participants.

Things are moving along quite nicely with the organisation of the event. We have been granted permission from Forestry for our Victorian forest stages so there will be plenty of meaningful competition to look forward to.

Below is a list of the overnight stops for the event. This information has also been posted on the event web site, but you have additionally been advised of Rally headquarters locations because you have registered your interest.

At the start at Lake Hume there are two accommodation options; the Ibis Styles Lake Hume Resort which provides motel style accommodation, and the Lake Hume Tourist Park which has multi room cabins with bunk style accommodation.

Because of the presence of Rally Australia in Coffs Harbour, you are advised to book there as soon as possible. Rally HQ and the Presentation dinner will be at Sawtell, which is about 10 kms from Coffs. Early booking at the other venues is also advisable.

We are hoping the deadly serious good natured multi-state rivalry which was evident during the recent Barry Ferguson Classic event will continue. Rest assured that the brain power required for the “Cross will not be quite as high!
