Hello again SCGAR participants and officials.
Because of the Classic Outback Trial in June not a lot happened with SCGAR over June and July. I also slacked off with a trip to France but am now ready to give 100% to making the SCGAR a great success.
Graham and I did a full course survey of the Sydney to Coffs Harbour component of the event in early August. We covered the sections from the Marulan Driving Centre south of Sydney through to the Rally Australia stages at Coffs Harbour. We used Graham’s 240,000 km Peugeot 405, with no special preparation apart from GPS and Terratrip.
The full itinerary is now finalised. A full list of event activities is shown below:

As you can see, Graham Wallis has once again put together a great event. Anyone who has the opportunity to participate in this great celebration of the Southern Cross rallies and misses out will be very cross with themselves, I can assure you. The action, the socialising and the cameraderie will be something very special.
A reminder about Accommodation
The overnight venues were listed in Newsletter No 2 and are also on the web site southerncrossanniversaryrally.com.au. Make sure you book early, as with the expected full field of 60 cars and associated service crews and officials there will be a big call for accommodation, particularly in the Coffs Harbour area due to the WRC event.
At the time of writing with three months to the event we have 20 paid entries, only one of which is for the half event option. Many more have been promised, so don’t leave it too long to fill out your entry form.
More news as it comes to hand. Keep watching the web site.
