Pre Event Registrations are sought from crews who would like to participate in the Southern Cross Gold Anniversary Rally starting in Albury on the morning of the 8th November 2016 and finishing in Coffs Harbour with a gala function on 19th November 2016. There are a few points worth noting:
- The event will be run as a Club Only event, ALL crew members will need to be members of the Historic Rally Association or the Historic Rally Club of NSW and ACT to compete (membership not necessary to register).
- It is expected the field will be limited to 60 vehicles with priority given to those persons who competed (driver or co-driver) in any of the original 15 Southern Cross rallies, then persons who have pre-registered using this form.
- Entry applications will commence in March and must be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of $500, which will of course be deducted from the entry fee.
To assist with budgeting and logistics we would appreciate you carefully considering whether you intend entering the event, rather than just registering to keep in touch with what is happening. We are expecting a good response and want to ensure that those genuinely interested are given priority.
The organisers are considering running two shorter events for those who cannot afford the time for the entire event. The shorter segments would be Albury to Sydney (five days) and Sydney to Coff Harbour (five days). Entry fees for these segments would be proportionately lower. If you are interested in either of these shorter segments please indicate so on the registration form.
The Supplementary Regulations will be available later in the year. They will be forwarded to those who have registered. E-mail is the preferred method of distribution, post will be accommodated if requested.
